Southern Gospel Picnic at Silver Dollar City

For 11 days at summer's end, gospel's biggest names take over the 1880s park, with quartets on stages all day and headline concerts each evening at Echo Hollow Amphitheatre. The 2026 lineup rotates groups like The Isaacs, The Hoppers, Legacy Five, and Triumphant Quartet.
Insider tip: Echo Hollow concerts are included with park admission, but benches fill well before showtime for the big quartets. Eat dinner early and claim seats. Labor Day weekend closes out the run and is the busiest stretch.

Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City

Seven weeks of fall done the Ozarks way: visiting craftsmen demonstrating their trades by day, then the whole park glowing after dark with thousands of carved and illuminated pumpkins, including a dance party in Pumpkin Plaza. It is the park's best stretch for cooler weather and fall food.
Insider tip: Come mid-afternoon and stay past dark so one ticket covers both the crafts and the pumpkin glow. October Saturdays are the fall's biggest crowds, so aim for a weekday if you can swing it.

An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City

The anchor of Branson's whole Christmas season: more than 6.5 million lights, the Christmas in Midtown light spectacle, Broadway-style shows, and an eight-time winner of America's Best Theme Park Holiday Event. New for 2026 is the Stars, Lights and Christmas Nights Parade, twice the length of the old Rudolph parade, ending in a Nativity finale.
Insider tip: The week between Christmas and January 2 has the exact same lights with far thinner crowds than mid-December. Grab a parade curb spot in Midtown at least 30 minutes early on Saturdays.

Autumn Daze Arts, Crafts and Music Festival
2026 dates TBA, typically mid to late September · Downtown Branson
Downtown Branson's homegrown fall festival, running more than 50 years, with 100-plus craft vendors, food trucks, and a live music tent. It is free to walk, and it is where locals actually shop for fall.
Insider tip: The 2025 edition moved to the Columns Concert and Event Center on the 76 Strip while the downtown streetscape project is underway, so check downtownbranson.org for the 2026 location before you go. Mornings have the best vendor selection.
Veterans Homecoming Week
Nov 5 to 11, 2026 · Downtown Branson and citywide
Branson has honored veterans on these same seven days for decades, and the town goes all in: 60-plus events, free and discounted shows, a Veterans Village with daily programming at Ballparks of America, and the Veterans Day Parade through Historic Downtown on November 11. It is one of the largest Veterans Day gatherings in the country.
Insider tip: The full event schedule posts at bransonveterans.com by late summer. The parade steps off downtown at 11 am on Veterans Day, and locals stake out Main Street curb spots more than an hour ahead.
Ozark Mountain Christmas
Nov 1 to Dec 31, 2026 · Citywide
This is the umbrella for Branson's entire holiday season: nearly every theater in town flips to its Christmas production the first week of November, and lights go up from the Strip to the Landing. Two months of Christmas is the town's proudest tradition.
Insider tip: Early November is the sweet spot: full Christmas shows and lights without December crowds or December hotel rates. Many shows wrap their season by mid-December, so book the specific show first, then the trip.
Lights of Joy Christmas Drive-Thru (formerly Branson's Gift of Lights)

A 1.25-mile drive through more than 250 displays and over a million LED lights off Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. Longtime visitors will remember this exact spot as Branson's Gift of Lights, and before that the Festival of Lights; same route, new name, bigger show.
Insider tip: Santa greets cars most Friday through Sunday evenings starting at 6 pm. Download their free app and enter show code LOJC to sync Christmas music to the drive. Weeknights before 7 pm have the shortest lines.

The Trail of Lights at Shepherd of the Hills

Branson's longest-running Christmas drive-through winds across the 160-acre homestead below Inspiration Tower, with millions of multicolored lights and animated scenes. Entering from the Inspiration Tower parking lot, you get hillside views the newer drive-thrus cannot match.
Insider tip: Go Sunday through Thursday to avoid the weekend crawl, and note it closes early at 9 pm on New Year's Eve. Buying online is cheaper than the gate.

Adoration Parade and Nativity Lighting
Sunday, Dec 6, 2026, lighting at 5 pm, parade about 5:30 pm · Downtown Branson
Branson's oldest Christmas tradition, in its 78th year in 2026: the evening starts with the lighting of the giant Adoration Nativity Scene on Mount Branson above Lake Taneycomo, then high school bands and lit floats wind through Historic Downtown. It is free, and it is the night Branson feels most like a small town.
Insider tip: Locals set out chairs along the route by mid-afternoon. Park at the Branson Landing garages and walk over. The lit nativity stays glowing on the bluff all season, visible from Highway 76 near downtown.
Christmas at Branson Landing
Nov to Dec 2026; lighting ceremony date TBA, typically the first days of November · Branson Landing
The Landing's 63-foot animated Christmas tree runs light-and-music shows every 20 minutes from 5:15 to 10 pm, with the fountain fire show firing at the top of each hour, all free. The season opens with a tree lighting ceremony complete with Santa, hot cocoa, and dancers.
Insider tip: Bass Pro Shops at the Landing runs Santa's Wonderland with free crafts and free photos with Santa, one of the few no-cost Santa photo ops in town. Time your dinner reservation on the boardwalk for a tree show table.

New Year's Eve in Branson

Theaters across town run special New Year's Eve editions with balloon drops and countdowns, from Grand Jubilee and Legends in Concert to four back-to-back family shows at the Hughes Brothers Theatre, plus the Midnight Masquerade at the Branson Convention Center. Midnight fireworks light up Table Rock Lake at Chateau on the Lake and Big Cedar Lodge.
Insider tip: NYE show editions sell out weeks ahead, so book by early December. The resort fireworks at Chateau on the Lake and Big Cedar can be watched free from the Table Rock lakeshore without a party ticket.
Silver Dollar City 2027 Season Opening

The park goes quiet in January and February, then wakes up for spring break with its opening festival, ride reopenings, and whatever new attraction the year brings. The 2026 season opened in mid-March, and 2027 should follow the same rhythm.
Insider tip: Watch silverdollarcity.com in January for the 2027 calendar and opening-day announcements. March weekdays are the emptiest the park gets all year, and spring crafts demonstrations start right at opening.
